Hi there and welcome to my website!

Well 2009 came to a close with some great musical experiences both in Australia and abroad. In October, I had the pleasure of performing my original songs at Nashville's legendary Bluebird Cafe, with some fantastic local musicians. The response was so wonderful that I can't wait to get back there and so it again! I also had a great time playing with my friend, Sean Wayland and his amazing New York band at the 55 Bar in NYC. It's always great to meet and work with such talented people across the globe and play to such great audiences.

Speaking of great audiences, some of you may have attended  one of the concerts in tribute to the great Joni Mitchell that took place in October and November. What a treat to perform those incredible songs with seven of the country's best singers. They were truly magical nights! 

Looking ahead, in February I'm very excited to be returning to the Vanguard with my wonderful band, to perform some of my original material. My very special guest opening the night will be Dan Mifsud with his new band Evan and The Brave. The last gig there a few months ago was really special so I hope you will be able to join us for this one. 

I'm just getting warmed up for 2010 so be sure to check back for more gigs as they get booked. After a sell-out show last time, Virna returns to the Vanguard with Matthew McMahon on keys, Brett Hirst on bass and Hamish Stuart on drums. This is sure to be a very special, uplifting and inspiring night. Opening the show will be Daniel Mifsud with his brand new band Evan and The Brave. Performing songs from their respective releases, as well as fresh new originals and other songs they love. Dinner and show available.
