Hi there and welcome to my website!

Firstly, thank you to everyone who came to the Vanguard at the start of the month and made it such a magical night. I am so appreciative of the wonderful audiences who make these nights so special. Unfortunately quite a number of people were turned away at the door as it was sold out, so be sure to book early for the next one in July. Tickets will be on sale for that show very soon.

Coming up in May, I'm delighted to be performing as part of the Darling Harbour Jazz Festival. I'll be there on Sunday 23rd, and there is great music all weekend so be sure to get down there and check it out. It's all free and always a wonderful atmosphere.

Looking ahead, in early June, I'm very excited to be joining Paul Kelly, as well as Vika and Linda Bull, Paul Grabowsky's Australian Art Orchestra and a handful of gorgeous singers, as we perform Meet Me In The Middle of The Air once more. This time it will be in Paul's home town of Melbourne, which I'm sure will prove a real treat for his fans there. For Sydneysiders who missed the show at the Opera House a while ago, you may want to book a flight! This really is a show not to be missed. It's well known that Paul Kelly is one of our national treasures, but to hear his work transformed by the genius of Paul Grabowsky and all the artists he has assembled is a rare and special treat indeed.

Also in June, I'll be presenting my own material at 505 for the first time. I've seen plenty of wonderful gigs at 505 over the years and it will be an honour to perform at what has become a pivotal venue in the Sydney scene.

Then in early July, for something a little different, I'll be guesting on backing vocals with my dear friends Rai Thistlethwayte and Phil Stack and their amazing band, Thirsty Merc. I've been lucky enough to know and work with Rai and Phil for well over ten years, so I am no stranger to their incredible talent, but I am truly blown away by what they have created in this band. I attended one of their intimate performances at the Basement earlier this year and their energy, coupled with great songs and phenomenal musicianship was just mind blowing.

See below as well as the performances page for details about the gigs mentioned above. More dates are being booked as we speak so be sure to check back often or sign up for the mailing list. You can also find more information, music, pictures etc. on my myspace page, www.myspace.com/virnasanzone, become a fan on facebook, and now you can also find me on youtube www.youtube.com/virnasanzone. I'll be adding more video as it gets filmed so stay tuned!

In the meantime, feel free to have a look around, listen to a few tracks, order a CD and of course write me a note if you would like to make a booking enquiry or just say hello. Thanks for dropping by!

All the very best,
